Time:
6:30pm - 9:00pm
Location:
The Fizz Bar and Grill

With the support of our co-host Zipcar, Live Green is officially launching in Chicago! We'll be at Fizz Bar and Grill and we'll have an awesome blues band coming: The Chris Winters Band featuring Katherine Davis! It all goes down on December 10th starting at 6:30pm!!

We'll also have drink specials and free food samples from Match Meats (it's gourmet, 100% plant-based meat alternatives).

Live Green, is a group that helps consumers find green products, supports green businesses, and builds green communities. We launched in DC and after a year of successful operations, we have decided to expand to Chicago.
One of the things we do is find green options for the everyday products and services we are buying anyway like food, clothing and transportation, and then we negotiate discounts to make them more affordable. It's discounts with a purpose: we save you money while helping the green economy thrive.
The cover for this event is $15 at the door or $13 for prepurchased tickets. Go to www.livegreen.net/events to purchase your tickets today.
Ticket price includes a 1-year membership to Live Green! Proceeds benefit Live Green's efforts to make it easier to be green in the Windy City.

Climate Justice Vigil!

Saturday, November 12th

Meet at Federal Plaza @ 5:30 p.m. and walk as a candlelight procession to the bean at Millenium park.  At the bean we would form a 350 or have some type of sign so we can get our pic on the site.

For more info, email ranchicago@gmail.com

Over the next two weeks, our leaders will negotiate the most important agreement of our time –- one that must stop a climate catastrophe.

Leaders are still desperately far from a real deal. For them to come together, the people need to first, like never before.

That’s why the weekend of Saturday December 12 will be one of the largest global climate actions in history. Thousands of towns and cities will light up with climate vigils with one united message -- The World Wants a Real Deal!

In just a few days we have created over 1450 vigils in 110 countries! Click below to find if there’s a event near you, or why not host one -- they're dead easy to organise:

http://www.avaaz.org/map

The events are simple, important, and enjoyable -- just show up and light a candle. We will read short messages about why a real climate deal is so important, then take photos that will be immediately delivered to global media and world leaders. And don't forget to bring friends and family along!

And here's why they're effective: we've proved that this works. We came together for both the Global Wake Up Call and 350 day of action earlier this year and both made huge impact in the press and prompted direct responses from world leaders.

If this moment doesn't warrant huge global action, what does? And if we don't call for a strong climate deal, who will?
